Let's take a question.
What are some things that are expensive or cheap in India but not in the USA and vice-versa?

Let me keep it simple.
On an average, an item in India is cheaper than the same item in the USA, but it is not applied to all items.



Let's take an example of 1 ltr milk.
Both the country produce enough milk and do not need to import from outside. After following taxation and packaging etc,
Price in the USA is approx $ 1 or ₹65
Price in India is approx ₹50 or $0.75
Maximum of food items and other basic utilities are cheaper in India than the USA. We can say the USA is a more expensive country than India. This is the reason that the average salary of an employee in the USA is more than the average salary of an employee in India.
Let's take an example of the average salary of a software engineer.
In USA average salary is $6000 or ₹3,87,500
In India, the average salary is ₹50,000 or $775
Since most things in the USA are more expensive than in India, so the above difference in salary doesn't make a big sense.
But all that is not applicable to some products. For example, Apple iPhoneX is cheaper in the USA than India, maybe because of taxation an export expenditure.
A product produced in the home market is always cheaper than that is imported from another country.
